As the Dealers’ Den has grown bigger and bigger, some artists have expressed they would like to sell only commissions and art prints at the convention. Therefore for 2020, we have designated a section of the Den as an Artist Alley.
Visiting the Artist Alley
The Artist Alley is located within the Dealers’ Den and will be open to attendees from 10AM to 1PM, and 2PM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, there will only be one session from 10AM to 1PM.
Selling in the Artist Alley
Who is the Artist Alley for?
The Artist Alley is for artists, from aspiring to experienced, to offer only commissions and prints at the con.
You can test the waters of selling your art without having to commit to a full con’s worth of dealing, or if you’re a veteran who is only attending for a day or two, you can still have the opportunity to sell at ConFuzzled.
What can I expect?
As there is only limited space, a draw will take place to allocate timeslots each day.
Draw winners will be allocated a 3ft by 2ft table space for one 3-hour time slot with some set up time before, and tear down time after.
There will be two Artist Alley sessions per day. One in the morning (10am to 1pm) and one in the afternoon (2pm to 5pm).
A slot costs £15 and is paid one the day when you sign in at the ConFuzzled table in the Dealers’ Den.
WiFi is provided, but unlike the Dealers’ Den tables, there will be no power sockets, as any devices that are plugged in need to be PAT tested.
How to get a place in the Artist Alley
You can register your interest in the Artist Alley in two ways:
- Fill in the form below in advance. This will close on the night of Thursday the 21st of May at 11pm GMT. (This is the preferred method, as it will also help us to get an idea of how many are interested before the con)
- If you weren’t able to sign up in advance, but would still like to apply for a place in the Artist Alley during the con, you can visit us at the ConFuzzled Dealers’ Den table during Den opening hours on the day before you wish to have a slot.
Each day at 8AM, we’ll draw the names from everyone who entered to be in the Alley for that day’s time slots.
If your name is drawn, we’ll contact you to let you know you have a place in the Alley. Please make sure you check your preferred method of contact (email and/or Telegram).
Turn up 30 minutes before your time slot for us to handle payment and sign in, and voila!
We do expect you to attend when drawn, but if you are unable to, please inform us ASAP so we can give the slot to someone else.
The advance registration deadline will be on Thursday the 21st of May at 11pm GMT. Alternatively, as mentioned above, you can come to us the day before and say you want a slot!
